India’s Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft, carrying NASA’s Mini-SAR instrument (a radar system) has taken never before seen pictures of craters on the dark side of the moon. Why is this important? These craters were hypothesized to hold ice and water, that could potentially be used on future space missions.
